Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich loses ASTRONOMICAL sum in just a single day

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has seen his net worth plummet by £650m in a single day as a consequence of heightened tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

Abramovich, whose immense wealth has bankrolled the transformation of Chelsea into one of the world’s elite football clubs, had his UK visa revoked following a breakdown in the relationship between the UK and Russian governments.

With Russia now threatening to launch an assault on Ukraine, and anxiety building around the world, Abramovich has felt the full effects of his President and ally Vladimir Putin refusing to back down.

As is reported by The Sun, the value of Abramovich’s 28.6% holding in steel group Evraz has well and truly plummeted. Shares of the company were down 129½p, or 29 per cent, at 315¼p, on the London Stock Exchange.

Abramovich will be crossing his fingers that the value is able to recover and return to the price point it was previously at, else he would have lost a mammoth £650m in just ONE DAY.

That’s the last thing that Chelsea fans will want to hear. Even though they are the current European and world champions, there is major investment needed to bridge the gap with Manchester City.
