Roman Abramovich will STILL make the ultimate decision as to who Chelsea is sold to, according to bidder Nick Candy.

Property developer Candy has been one of the most public-facing bidders in the process to far, with the Chelsea season ticket holder understood to have teamed up with other businessmen of wealth and influence to put a bid in to buy the club before the deadline on Friday evening.

Candy has been speaking to The Sun, providing them with the inside track on the sale process and revealing a pretty key detail about it all. Roman Abramovich, sanctioned by the UK government, will have the ultimate say as to who is allowed to buy Chelsea from him.

Abramovich has had his assets frozen and is understood to be set to miss out on BILLIONS as Chelsea are sold. Yet, according to Candy, the Russian oligarch will have to give the final sign-off and determine where his beloved Blues go next.

There will be those who believe he shouldn’t be allowed to be involved in the process whatsoever, but after all, Chelsea remain an Abramovich asset, even if they have been seized and he will not be getting a penny in exchange for the club. Perhaps it’s right that he has a say in the matter…
