“Contract is signed” – Tyron Woodley set for boxing return following defeat to Jake Paul

Former UFC champion Tyron Woodley is set to make his boxing return against retired welterweight contender Dan Hardy.

Woodley made his boxing debut against YouTuber Jake Paul earlier in the year. The fight went the distance, with the former UFC star being defeated via a split decision.

Paul came to an agreement with Woodley before leaving the ring, if he were to tattoo “I love Jake Paul” onto himself, the YouTuber would give him the rematch he desired.

Woodley eventually did follow through and get the tattoo, but Paul claimed that he waited too long and the hype had died down. As a result, he was made to look a bit silly.

Nevertheless, Woodley hasn’t been completely deterred from stepping back into the boxing ring. He’s set to fight former UFC welterweight contender Dan Hardy – that is, if he actually signs along the dotted line.

Hardy is quoted by the Daily Star saying: “My contract is signed and I know that he’s got a contract sitting in front of him, and the deadline is approaching, and he doesn’t want to sign it, and I don’t know why.”

“I don’t know what the deal is because terms have been agreed. Money’s been agreed, date’s been agreed, rules and conditions, weight class—everything’s been agreed.”

“But he hasn’t yet signed the contract. So you tell me. Tyron Woodley, why have you not signed it, The Frozen One?”

It’s hard to imagine Woodley being scared by the prospect of facing Hardy in a boxing match, but perhaps he feels as though he could attract a more high-profile and relevant opponent.

Let’s wait and see how it pans out…
