As the NFL regular season draws to a close, teams are fighting for their right to make the playoffs and one of the league’s late games went down to the wire on Sunday night as the Las Vegas Raiders snatched victory from the New England Patriots.
With the score 24-24 as the clock hit zero in the fourth quarter, the Patriots went for the jugular with a play from their own 44-yard line. Quarterback Mac Jones handed the ball off to running back Rhamondre Stevenson who drove forward into Raiders territory before throwing the ball to Jakobi Meyers who had to turn and find a pass himself to avoid contact.
However, under pressure, he ended up throwing his pass to the Raiders’ Chandler Jones who then had the freedom to run 50 yards down the field to score a touchdown and win the match for his team.
