Mike McDaniel has won the hearts of NFL fans all over the world since arriving in South Florida, mainly for his quirky personality during press conferences.
From interrupting his general manager Chris Grier’s meeting with the media to admitting he didn’t think former Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino was the greatest, he certainly knows how to joke around.
However, it was his most recent encounter with the press that has caught the headlines.
With the Dolphins set to face the Green Bay Packers – whose fans are nicknamed the Cheeseheads – on Christmas Day, a reporter asked McDaniel whether he considered himself a cheese connoisseur.
His response: “I really like cheese, but I wouldn’t want to offend true cheese connoisseurs with my lack of cheese knowledge.

Focusing on the game itself, the matchup represents a huge opportunity for both teams to take a step closer to the playoffs, with both teams “in the hunt” for a spot in the postseason so for a few hours, the festivities are set aside as the Packers and the Dolphins will do battle attempt to maintain their playoff hopes.
