While writing a column for the Telegraph, pundit Ally McCoist has revealed that he’d rather support Scotland than BRAZIL.
Scotland, who had to wait over 20 years to feature in a major international tournament again, have amassed a grand total of one point from their opening two group fixtures, scoring zero goals.
However, by holding England to a 0-0 draw at Wembley, they gave the Scottish football fans something to be proud of.
Ally McCoist, who has been providing punditry and co-commentary for ITV for Euro 2020, is one who is taking great pride in what his nation have achieved at the tournament to date – the one point and the zero goals.

Writing in his column for the Telegraph, McCoist went into detail about about how he’s getting carried away watching this Scotland side, and how he’d rather follow them than Brazil.
“I genuinely think we can do it. I look at our players and and can’t help but get carried away more than I ever have as a supporter.”
“I’m so looking forward to Tuesday without a bloody clue what’s going to happen but knowing it will be full of drama. “
“Would I rather be a Brazilian fan or a Scottish fan? All day long I’d rather be a Scottish fan. A Brazilian fan knows there will be great football and you probably will get to semi-finals but supporting us, you don’t have a Scooby-Doo from the first minute to the last. And I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
You can understand what he’s getting at – the heartache is worth it if you see your team achieve something at the end of it – but Scotland are minnows of the international game, while Brazil are giants.
We know who we’d pick, given the choice…
