The first leg of the Portuguese Cup semi final between Braga and Porto was an eventful experience as their was eight yellow cards shown, two red cards, a 90′ equaliser and an ambulance broke down on the pitch when collecting Braga’s injured player David Carmo.
This game had it all for the fans and it was non stop from the starting whistle to the final kick of the game with Porto’s Taremi scoring the opening goal in the 9′ of the game.
The two red cards were shown in the 70′ and the 90′ with Braga’s Fransergio scoring an injury time equaliser.
David Carmo was replaced in the 70′ as he was unable to continue with an ambulance having to come onto the pitch to collect the injured player. Getting onto the pitch was easy for the ambulance but getting off was a completely different story.
Porto and Braga players had to come together top help push start the ambulance off the pitch, a brilliant bit of team work from the two teams who put aside their differences to help start the ambulance and get the injured player to safety.
