Manchester United fans aim dig at Cristiano Ronaldo in new chant

Manchester United fans are still reeling from the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo from their club and in their League Cup match against Burnley on Wednesday, fans were heard singing a song about his departure.

Away from the actual result, which ended 2-0 to United courtesy of goals from Marcus Rashford and Christian Eriksen, the chant rang out at Old Trafford throughout the game, as Ronaldo’s legacy looks to be tarnished just a month after he terminated his contract.

Ronaldo had his fair share of disciplinary issues at United both last season and before the World Cup break, which led to him being dropped from squads and his interview with Piers Morgan certainly didn’t help matters either.

He also fell out with Portugal manager Fernando Santos at the World Cup after reacting badly to being substituted in a group match, leading to his omission from the squad for their Round of 16 victory over Switzerland.

Not the greatest look for Ronaldo, who remains on the hunt for a new club with the January transfer window looming.
