Manchester United have released a new statement confirming that Mason Greenwood will NOT be allowed to train or play until further notice.
In light of the accusations made against the England international by his girlfriend, United revealed that there were going to take a closer look at the facts before deciding how to proceed.
Their statement was followed by confirmation from Greater Manchester Police that they had launched an investigation into the allegations made against Greenwood.
It remains to be seen if there has been any new evidence found, but Man United HAVE now taken action against the player and barred him from first-team involvement.

“Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.”
It’s not surprising, with a club of Man United’s stature not able to be seen to condone violence of any kind. Allowing Greenwood to continue would risk sending the wrong message.
Make no mistake, though, this news serves as confirmation that Greenwood’s football career is in grave danger.
