West Ham have compiled a short list of strikers they want to sign this January after selling Sebastian Haller to Ajax for £20m.
The London club will be desperate to sign a consistent goal scorer to help their club in the middle table battle in the Premier League. West ham currently sit in 10th place with 7 wins out of 17 games and are looking to improve on their wins.
Football Insider are reporting that Moussa Dembele was top of the list with the Hammers wanting to sign the Lyon striker. The Frenchman has reportedly told his agent he does not want to join West Ham and wants to stay in Ligue 1 to help Lyon battle for the Champions League next season.
Can you blame the striker for not wanting to leave a club that are currently 1st in Ligue 1 and 3 points clear of UCL finalists PSG. West Ham will have to aim for a different striker now.
