The World Cup quarter-final yesterday was interrupted when a celebrity pitch invader holding a mysterious box ran onto the pitch.
Argentina’s quarter-final game with the Netherlands was abruptly interrupted yesterday when YouTube star, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, ran shirtless onto the pitch. This isn’t the first time an incident like this has happened at the Qatar World Cup and it isn’t the first tournament where Vitaly has done this.
He pulled the same stunt in 2014 at the World Cup in Brazil and even got his girlfriend to run onto the pitch in a bikini in the 2019 Champions League final.
Most broadcasters cut away from the incident, as is protocol, but the video was later released.

He only got so far before being tackled to the ground and dragged off the pitch, but he later revealed that he had an insane plan.
While talking to a fan, Vitaly told him that he ‘wanted to propose to Messi.’

The YouTuber clearly wanted to make a statement about gay marriage in a country where it is forbidden.
Vitaly seemed pretty confident that the Argentine superstar would’ve said yes to his proposal, we’re not so sure.
