Adesanya, 31, has risen to the forefront of top-level mixed martial arts after an impressive run has seen the Nigerian-born kickboxer go on a nine-fight unbeaten run, since making his UFC debut in 2018.

After beating Robert Whittaker to claim middleweight gold in 2019, Adesanya has gone on to defend his strap against Yoel Romero and most recently, Paulo Costa.

Currently preparing to move up to the light heavyweight division to face-off against Jan Blachowicz for the 205lb title, the 31-year-old is on a collision course to be considered the sport’s most dominant fighter.

However, despite being third in the UFC’s current pound-for-pound rankings, the promotion’s president has seemingly forgotten what gender his prize asset is.

In a UFC 259 build-up interview with ESPN’s Laura Sanko, White hilariously declared Adesanya as the ‘greatest female fighter’ on planet earth.
