(Video) Argentina players almost KNOCKED OFF open bus parade in Buenos Aires

The Argentina national football team were given a hero’s welcome back in Buenos Aires as they were greeted by supporters upon their return to their homeland.

Thousands of people packed the streets at 4am to hail their footballing heroes as Lionel Messi and co. paraded the streets on an open-top bus.

The team brought with them the World Cup trophy which was held tight by Lionel Messi, who scored twice and slotted home a penalty in the shootout on the way to victory over France in the final.

However, a few of the players needed to have their wits about them when the bus drove under a bunch of electricity cables, forcing Messi and a few others to duck quickly to avoid being knocked over.

Thankfully none of the players were caught in the cables and the festivities continued as the nation celebrated the country’s first World Cup win since 1986.
