The Northern Ireland social media account congratulated their former captain Martin O’Neill on managing Celtic to another Scottish Premiership title.
Unfortunately a few of their supporters have a problem with this,
It has actually just become apparent that this account in fact **seems** to be run by the @IrishFA
Absolutely shocking but unsurprising if so. There needs to be an absolute clear-out of that organisation, starting with the CEO who wanted a ROI top in his office.
It’s actually… https://t.co/9858MIH75g

Here are some of the comments online ..
Jamie, Martin O’Neill is an absolute NI legend, 64 caps & captained us at the ’82 World Cup. We always recognise the achievements of our players and former players. It’s perfectly normal to acknowledge what he did at Celtic, even if you’re not a fan. Your tweet is just pitiful.
Absolutely. 👏👏 Well deserved recognition of O’Neill’s fantastic and remarkable achievement this season. Every single Northern Ireland fans should be proud of him..
We all know if you had your way people like Neil Lennon would be sent death threats and booed at Windsor. Unfortunately for them days are over. Martin O’Neill, a man who has contributed to the 6 counties.
What do you offer other than division and hatred, scummy we cunt.

Martin O’Neil was a great footballer for Northern Ireland as indeed was Neill Lennon treated disgracefully by an element within our supporters because of their ties to Celtic.I am no fan of Celtic myself but am happy to congratulate both of their achievements there and in both cases elsewhere particularly thinking of Lennon at Hibernian and in his current employment. Both still speak well of their time playing with Northern Ireland and hopefully people will remember the great times they gave us.
