Now you may be asking yourself, why are there so many Argentina fans in Bangladesh?
As you may have noticed, India isn’t in this year’s tournament. In fact, they have never participated in the World Cup since it began in 1930, almost a century ago. So like the many other fans who’s nation failed to qualify, they picked a new team, in this case Argentina.
The tradition goes all the way back to 1986, when Diego Maradona led his Argentinian team to World Cup glory. Every four years since then, you can see Argentinian flags flying high across India and Nepal

You can also find parts of India where Brazil flags are present, as you can imagine this has caused quite a rivalry between the adopted fanbases. Only days ago a brawl broke out on the streets after the two groups came head to head.
