The Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk rematch may not happen according to Derek Chisora.
Fury and Usyk battled it out for undisputed glory with the Ukrainian winning a split-decision to cement himself as the division’s number one fighter.
As expected ‘The Gypsy King’ activated the rematch clause and a second bout is tentatively penciled in for October of this year.
But, veteran heavyweight, Derek Chisora claims he’s heard that Usyk will be stepping back down to the cruiserweight division.
“There’s no point bothering with a rematch because the undisputed is done”, said Chisora alluding to the fact that Usyk is likely to lose his IBF belt and in the process his undisputed status.
Chisora continued: “I heard a rumour, I’m gonna start this rumour anyway. Oleksandr is dropping down to cruiserweight. That’s the rumour right now.”
