“This is the final fight” – Tyson Fury claims he will RETIRE after Dillian Whyte bout

Tyson Fury has claimed that his upcoming fight with Dillian Whyte will be his last in the sport.

Fury has had a quite remarkable boxing career and there were some questions as to whether he would ever fight again following his historic trilogy triumph over the long-reigning Deontay Wilder.

However, the Gyspy King agreed to fight the mandatory challenger for his WBC belt, thus confirming that he would not be bringing his career to an end prematurely and would continue to fight.

In the opening press conference in the build-up to his bout with Whyte, however, Fury has claimed that he feels he’s achieved enough and will be hanging up his gloves after the fight.

Of course, this is nonsense. He’d have retired after Wilder if he were planning on retiring at all. Fury will have ambitions to fight the winner of Usyk vs Joshua II and become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Ultimately, he’s just trying to promote his fight, especially considering Whyte didn’t even bother turning up to the press conference. We can say for absolute certain he’ll fight again after Whyte.
