Mbappe, 22, joined Paris-Saint Germain in 2017, initially on loan, before making his switch permanent in a deal worth a staggering £130.5m.

Since arriving in the French capital, Mbappe has grown to become arguably the sport’s great young talent.

Despite being just 22-years-old, the electrically paced attacker boasts a seriously impressive trophy haul that includes three Ligue 1 titles.

However, although Mbappe has enjoyed a hugely successful time at Paris-Saint Germain which has seen him score 113 goals in 155 games, in all competitions, there are growing suggestions he could be looking to move on.

The world-class attacker currently has less than 18-months left on his deal and with no signs of a renewal yet, it’s becoming increasingly more likely Mbappe could play elsewhere.

The 22-year-old World Cup winner has been linked with several clubs, including Real Madrid and last season’s Premier League champions Liverpool.

However, according to a recent report from transfer expert Duncan Castles, it is Klopp’s Redmen who appear to be leading the race.

Speaking on The Transfer Window podcast, Castles said: “He, as we have reported, is keen on moving to one of two leagues for the next stage of his career.

“Either the Premier League where his preference I am told would be a move to Liverpool.

“He likes Manchester United as a club, but his preference would be to work with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

“Or to Spain; where Barcelona are an option. But obvious financial difficulties and Real Madrid have pursued him since before he went to PSG.”
