Sam Warburton: “There’s Gotta Be a Promotion/Regulation in the Six Nations

Posted by

This is something that the rugby community have been harping on about forever, a promotion and regulation for entry in and out of the Six Nations Championship. Italy were hammered by France 50 points to ten yesterday in Rome and it’s been this way for years now and surely it’s time to give the like of Georgia a look or chance in the Six Nations Championship

Georgia gave Ireland and Wales a right good game last year in the Autumn Nations Cup and we all remember when Georgia nearly beat Ireland in the rugby World Cup in 2007. Should these lower teams not deserve the chance to compete in the Six Nations, especially when Italy haven’t been able to compete for the last number of years and yesterday’s result, but even the manner of the result that they lost to France by was very worrying and didn’t make for good viewing for the non rugby fan.
