What a result that was for Ireland on Saturday night and Munster captain Peter O’Mahony is playing some of the best stuff of his career. During the game he had a word for Ali Price while the Scottish number nine was on the ground. According to Rugby journalist Murray Kinsella, Peter O’Mahony said the following;
“Go on Ali, kid! Whinging and moaning, kid!”

Ireland get ready to play the All Blacks next Saturday and it’s going to be a massive game, you can be sure New Zealand captain Sam Cane hasn’t forgotten what Peter O’Mahony said to him in the summer of 2022. Hopefully Ireland can beat the All Blacks and finally make it to a semi-final of a Rugby World Cup. Go on the lads.
Jeezuz. I’m scottish and it should be totally natural for me to get behind Ireland a country with whom we have centuries of cultural and family links, but the amount of this gloating is making it difficult.
Get a grip of yourselves folks.
How true, the behaviour of 2 or 3 of their players and the arrogance of their media makes the English look modest and decent.
Because your lads were so humble before the match
I think they just might have been trying to say they had a chance. I think that just might have had something to do with it. Just maybe. Perhaps.
If I close my eyes very, very tight, spin anti clock wise , before doing a hand stand , followed by a mumbling chant to the rugby gods so to position Scotland in the #1 rank position, beating all that comes their way in the last year or so. How confident they would be, yet, perceived from the outside looking in, it too would be mistaken for arrogance! Now put on yere Scottish big boys pants and run along, play nicely, and make sure to share yere toys
“Oh lord it’s so hard to be humble when your perfect in every way .”.🤣LOL….sour grapes attack me thinks get over it guys ..you were trounced !!
Not by you, bitch
Because your lads were so humble before the match
Classic example of when just being better gets you accused of being arrogant. What are you guys talking about, no one in Ireland be it players, media or otherwise has been anything but humble because we all know it only takes one bad day and it’s over. We were expected to beat Scotland but everyone still came out saying we weren’t taking it lightly and it was you guys who were out talking shit about putting an end to our run not the other way around. o’Mahony has always been the guy to roast other players for moaning and trying to get cheap penalties and he’s right, it’s not arrogance and is only being called that now because they’re playing so well
Isn’t O’Mahony the one who continually goes down supposedly injured to slow the game down and have a rest. Hope Barnes is finally on to it but won’t hold my breath.
Not by you, bitch
Sorry Ireland, O’Mahony, just how many world cups have you guys won, win a few games and all of a sudden you guys think you rule the rugby world, the mentorship Ireland is showing is one of arrogance and pityfulness, be humble in your wins, because in rugby, rugby always wins. NZ has 3, SA has 3, Aus 2 and Eng 1.
Ireland still nothing and deservedly so and with your current attitude, it would be bitter sweet when you do loose, that pedestal is a long fall when you’re this arrogant.
Ireland is a small country and Rugby is the 4th most played winter sport. Our Rugby team has built and built over the last decade to be deservedly ranked No 1 in the world. We have earned it! There is no arrogance , no complacency, just a whole heap of hope. As a 77 year old who played his club rugby for the Belfast club “Malone” – the club which regularly turned out more than a dozen teams every week during the 1960’s – I will be cheering for my Ireland with my all. However if we lose, that will be accepted without complaint.
What’s the size of the country and their supporters (yourself) got to do with player arrogance?? What I said had nothing to do with their supporters, although the supporters are in their own way glistening in the winnings of their team, rightfully so, but player arrogance from literally the team captain isn’t something one should be proud of, be proud of where u have come from and what u have achieved but belittling players on the field isn’t the right way to go, be better, do better but not at the expense of other people.

How many Kiwis in the Ireland team?
How many kiwi’s? 2 is the answer, and both couldn’t make it where they were, they only became the player that they ate now because of their province/national team….. and we also have a Samoan player too, who’s province is on the West of the country…
Is your Samoan the Centre born in Auckland. 3 kiwis I think.
What’s all the shouting about Win lose or draw Ireland’s players have played great rugby entertaining everyone who have watched Some people complain about arrogance That is not what it is it is just delight in having played well and won.
I concur with Phil. Here here
Once again, no one is saying they didn’t play well or deserved not to win, they have, it’s the manner in which you treat your opponents is the arrogance, what Mahony said to Sam Cane, now to Price and probably a few other off the cuff issues, again, Ireland is running around like headless chickens because they have won a few games of rugby.
Again, Ireland hasn’t won a world cup yet, SA have 3 and NZ have 3, Ireland 0
Jonathan, you must not have your listening ears on….. when on the pitch, it’s intense. Tackles are made when there’s too much adrenaline, things are said, all players have a go at each other, we have no dirty players, unlike NZ, SA, Eng… better to get under an opponents skin rather than a dirty tackle that could cause serious injury to make a point. You have a thing about Peter, one from the match day 23. Off the pitch, where is the issue between players? There isn’t one. Our team walk around to applaud their fans after a match, in post match interviews, again they thank the supporters. Then again, seeing that you’re not probably Irish, you have a team that has either gone home or, are on the easier side of the pool stages. Ba humbug I say to you sir!
