Paul Pogba ‘set to sign’ five-year contract… but NOT with Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is reportedly set to sign a contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Pogba, who has been a key player for Man United since returning to the club from Juventus, is out of contract in June.

The Frenchman is free to discuss pre-contract agreements with interested parties this month, having entered the final six months of his deal with the Red Devils.

There has been no suggestion up until now that Pogba has made a definitive decision on his future, whether that be to find a new challenge or continue with United.

However, Todo Fichajes claim that Pogba is set to sign a five-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain.

Could Paul Pogba be set to leave Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain?

PSG made good use of the free-agent market last summer and you would naturally consider them among the frontrunners to sign Pogba, were he to choose to leave.

The report claims that he has now made the decision to depart and has instructed agent Mino Raiola to complete his move to PSG before the end of the month.

We’d take this with a pinch of salt until any more reputable source reports the news, but there is no denying that the situation surrounding Pogba at Old Trafford is precarious…

  1. It is very safe to assume that Pogba will not be an United player next season, but P.S.G I am not too sure about. It would go against statements made in the past by Pogba about playing for P.S.G would go against his Marseille roots as that is the club he and his whole family support. I think with him being a free agent a move to Spain or Italy might be more likely.
