Floyd Mayweather was ranked as number one boxer EVER, full list of top 25 here

Floyd Mayweather was previously ranked as the no. 1 pound for pound boxer in the history of the sport.

Mayweather originally called time on his boxing career with an astounding record of 49-0. You always felt as though he would return for fight number 50 when he felt as though the time was right.

A PPV blockbuster with MMA superstar Conor McGregor proved to be the right time for Mayweather, who beat the Irishman by way of stoppage to take his record to a nice round 50-0.

That record, as per BoxRec, crowns him as the number one boxer of all-time. The organisation put Manny Pacquiao in second, Carlos Monzon in third, Muhammed Ali in fourth and Sugar Ray Robinson in fifth.

Ranking fighters, particularly across different weight classes, is a difficult and dangerous game. Everyone’s selections would likely differ, with it being completely subjective.

That said, Mayweather has earned his place in EVERYONE’S top five. The consistency, the standard of the opponents he defeated and the famous unbeaten record all speak for themselves.

You might not like him or respect him as a person, but you can’t deny his superstar ability as a fighter.
