Canelo Alvarez has shared the ring with the likes of Gennady Golovkin, Miguel Cotto and Floyd Mayweather in his career.
The Mexican has had a glittering career amassing an impressive record of 61-2-2 since making his debut in 2005.
His biggest rivalry was no doubt with the hard-hitting Gennady Golovkin who he faced three times, winning two of the fights and controversially drawing the first with many believing he was defeated.
But, when asked about the biggest puncher he faced in his career he snubbed βGGGβ and went for a rival that he brutally knocked out in 2015.
He toldΒ Sways Universe: βI think the most power I have felt is from James Kirkland.
βHe hit me in the arms and that is the hardest thing I have felt. If he hit me in the head heβd have f*****gβ¦.
βSo I said βI need to get this over earlyβ and then I knocked him out. He is a great fighter.β
Next up for Canelo is a showdown with Edgar Berlanga on September 14.
