Marcel Sabitzer pulled up during Manchester United’s warm-up on Sunday afternoon.
The Austrian midfielder was due to make an appearance for his side as they prepared to play Nottingham Forest on Sunday but picked up an injury just moments before kick-off.
He was replaced by Christian Eriksen who has returned to the squad for the first time since January when he was on the receiving end of a tackle from Andry Carroll in their FA Cup clash against Reading.
