What a win that was for the Red Devils against their bitter rivals Liverpool at the Anfield Stadium. It’s the first time in nearly ten years that a Manchester United team has gone to Anfield and got the full three points.
It’s a result that will surely cement Ruben Amorim in his position as the Manchester United manager. The 40 year old Portuguese man was under serious pressure at the start of the season but that seems to be a distant memory for now ..
Ruben Amorim will have to build on Sunday’s result though and as he said himself the next big game is next weekend. The Red Devils will welcome Brighton to Old Trafford and if United fail to back this up at home against the seasides, Sunday’s result will soon be forgotten about.

If I had to give a verdict: I’d say “Yes, they’re on the right track, but we shouldn’t crown them yet.” The foundation looks better-laid. The next 6-12 months will tell whether they truly have climbed through the weeds — or will slip back.
