Ryan Reynolds has revealed that he is interested in buying another sports team after the success he’s had with Wrexham.

Reynolds made his admission on The Tonight Show (Via Nathan Salt on Twitter), saying he wants to get involved with his local ice hockey side Ottawa Senators in his native Canada.

I am trying to do it. But it’s very expensive. I need a partner with very deep pockets.

It’s called a consortium when you form a group together to buy an entity. It’s a fancy way of saying I need a sugar mummy or a sugar daddy.”

Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased Wrexham in February of 2021 for a fee of £2million, with Reynolds’ actress wife Blake Lively apparently not too receptive to the idea of her other half getting involved with the Welsh football club – her reaction described as “not good” by Reynolds – so it will be very interesting to see how well she takes his suggestion of getting involved in another ownership venture.
