Man Utd agree deal for Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp for an initial 21m euros (£18.1m) plus add-ons.

The Red Devils were reportedly interested in signing Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa. However, after signing Lammens, that option is over.

According to a report from BBC Sport, the 23-year-old is travelling to Manchester to sign a five-year contract at the Old Trafford club.

United are desperate to solve their goalkeeping issues. Andre Onana has turned out to be a big flop and made a litany of errors in the Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby Town.

Likewise, Turkey’s Altay Bayindir is making errors in the league, and it does not come as a big surprise that United have looked into signing a new goalkeeper.

The Red Devils view Lammens as an exciting young goalkeeper with a bright future, and they believe he can handle the pressure of playing in the Premier League that Onana failed to do so.
