Manchester City are preparing to make their mover for football legend Lionel Messi in March or April according to ESPN.
City are hoping to take a more timid approach for the six time ballon d’Or winner unlike French giants PSG who have been making a lot of noise about their interest.
The Premier League side are expected to bide their time and see how the situation develops after a a sources at Barca have told ESPN PSG’s tactic is completely the wrong way to try and seduce Messi.
“PSG are making a mistake with the strategy they’re using,” one source said. “Leo doesn’t like all that noise in the media and even less the type of comments [which have been made].”
In November of last year it was reported that Messi had two demands in order for him to join Manchester City but one of those may not be available anymore.
One demand is he wanted Pep Guardiola to be he manager and the second was he also wanted Sergio Aguero at the club.
Unfortunately for Messi, Aguero has been hampered with injury all season and doesn’t look likely to renew his contract at the Etihad.
