Manchester United fans have turned their backs on Cristiano Ronaldo in wake of their premature FA Cup exit on Saturday night.
The Red Devils were eliminated from England’s marquee cup competition on penalties to Championship outfit Middlesbrough, yet another embarrassment for a club in turmoil.
Ronaldo had the opportunity to score what would have been the decisive goal in normal time after United were awarded a penalty.
However, despite it being CR7’s party trick, the Portuguese forward was unable to even hit the target, let alone find the back of the net.

In truth, it summed up Ronaldo’s performance on the night – and needless to say, Man United fans were not best impressed with his efforts.
In wake of the defeat, with emotions running high, some Man United fans on Twitter have begun to turn on the greatest goalscorer of all-time.
Is it now time to accept he’s no longer the player he once was?
Ronaldo can’t dribble or pass, gets in the way of his teammates, doesn’t occupy oppo CBs, doesn’t consistently make runs, doesn’t press. All for ONE non-penalty goal since Rangnick was hired 2 MONTHS ago. Literally the single worst player getting regular minutes for United

Ronaldo is not good enough to start for this club

That performance deserved a better result but I think it’s time to revise what Ronaldo actually adds to this side going forward and whether that’s enough.
