Manchester United will make just £5 from each sale of a Cristiano Ronaldo shirt, according to a report published by the BBC.
Ronaldo re-signed for Man United from Juventus at the tail end of the transfer window. It’s one of the most high-profile transfers in Premier League history.
The Portuguese superstar is heading back to a club where is ALREADY considered a legend. The fanfare surrounding his return has already been quite something.

There’s a common misconception, though, that fans buying player-branded shirts and other memorabilia will cover the costs of their transfer fee and wages.
If there were ever to be a deal where that could be the case, it’d be this one, but the BBC’s report completely rubbishes the idea.
They note that Man United are only likely to bank around £5 per Ronaldo shirt sale, with the rest of the cash going to Adidas.
With Ronaldo having cost £19.4m and set to earn £480k-a-week, as per the Daily Mail, it’s pretty clear that the sale of his shirts will NOT cover his costs.
