Former UFC champion Jon ‘Bones’ Jones has apologised for uploading a video of himself shooting a boar with an automatic rifle from a chopper.

The 33-year-old uploaded a video of himself hunting boar to his official Instagram account but the video received heavy criticism which resulted in the UFC fighter having to issue an apology.

The video looks like what can only be described as a mission from popular video game ‘Call of Duty’ as Jones hunts down a boar as he hangs from a helicopter armed with an automatic rifle.

The kill seems instant and Jones even said in his apology ‘I took my time with that first shot to make sure the animal did not suffer.’

Jones’ full apology stated: ‘I apologize if this video make some of you guys uncomfortable, at the same time I’m excited for my shipment of meat to get to Albuquerque. I took my time with that first shot to make sure the animal did not suffer. Bet half you guys that are offended eats sausage and bacon on a weekly basis.’
