Current UFC star Charles Oliveiraâs coach and manager Diego Lima doesnât believe we will ever see the former champion fight again.
âThereâs no reason to bark up the wrong tree, I honestly donât believe anymore,â Lima told MMA Fighting regarding a potential McGregor vs. Oliveria matchup.
âWhen he achieved everything he could and became the highest-paid athlete in the world, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo, [Lionel] Messi, Floyd Mayweather and every NFL and NBA player, he got to a point where no one imagined a MMA fighter would ever get.â
âYou donât train with the same hunger, you donât have the same focus and maybe heâs not wrong. Heâs reached something many considered unreachable.
He concluded: âHonestly, I donât believe he fights again. âOh, but what if he does fight again?â Then we would be discussing what ifs. Would that be cool? Of course it would. Of course that Charles wants to fight him. But thereâs no point discussing it because, in my opinion, he doesnât fight anymore. Heâs not an option right now.â
Will McGregor fight again? Let us know in the comments.
