The former Welsh centre and qualified doctor Jamie Roberts toured with the Lions on two occasions to South African 2009 and Australia in 2013 losing one tour and winning the second. Roberts is still playing with the Dragons in the Pro 14 and will go down as a Welsh legend winning two Grand Slams.
Talking to Sky Sports Rugby Union, Roberts picked Seven Welsh, four Irish, two English and two Scots in his test fifteen which reflects this years Six Nations. England did finish just above Italy in the final standings in what was a disappointing Six Nations for the Previous winners.
It was confirmed yesterday that the tour will go ahead as planned, most likely without fans and it will be a very different Lions tour than previous ones before. But all the same at least we will have a Lions tour, as next summer is ruled out because of the summer tours of the other Nations.
