The former Welsh Centre Jamie Roberts has tweeted out his opinion on the famous last kick of the game between England and Scotland at a sold out Twickenham Stadium in West London.
Did the match day referee get this one wrong? Have a look at some of the comments below ..

Actually the ref pushed him out 2m 🫣 https://t.co/SUnPhXS7c1 pic.twitter.com/DGXaC8nGTO

He was one of Englands best performers..coming from an Englishman but why van de m didn’t cut inside to score more central only he knows
Bad call by the ref, but not sure 2m from that angle increases the chance to make that conversion kick by a statistically significant amount.
Russell should have asked the ref to stop the clock and get clarity on where the kick should be. Especially due to the kick having such a baring on the result. He’s experienced enough.
Surprised Scotland did not complain about all this, afterwards. Pretty sure Finn Russell won’t let it happen to him again. Surely GPS tech could sort this. Itoje action questionable – maybe legit in seeking to speak to ref, but ref should have stopped clock.
That referee was one of England’s better players….
What annoyed me more than anything was the lack of respect for the kicker. Silence at every kick except the last one. Not saying that made a difference but it was certainly the intention of the home support to try and put Finn off. One of the many reasons I hate England.
I was at the Wales v Ireland game and the Irish were booing the Welsh when they had the ball.
It seems to happen a lot these days
Your comment irks me. 1. I was there and I’m English and I think that the kicker deserves respect. So don’t put me in with the noisy lot who actually happened to be Scottish fans next to me. 2. Fir you to say you hate the English because of this perceived English failure indicates the presence of petty small mindedness on your part.
The Scottish never boo do they any excuse 🤧🤧
The French have always whistled and booed the kicker. Most kickers say it doesn’t bother them at all.
Should it have been a try in the first place? forward pass, which all seems to be ignored, earlier in the move 😕
