The power of the former heavyweight champions has been compared by Jason Gavern.
Gavern took on Anthony Joshua in 2015 and Deontay Wilder the year before so is well placed to judge the punch power of the heavyweights.

And speaking to ATG Radio about the power of both men the American surprisingly named Joshua as having the most power between the pair.
“I would say Joshua (hits harder). I think for how big he is, I think a big guy like him should not move as well as he does. He moves so fast, especially on the inside”, said Gavern.
He threw a hook on the inside with me and I didn’t know where it was coming from, it was crazy how fast he was punching. So yes, I think Joshua hit’s harder for sure.”
Joshua and Wilder both feature on the bumper December 23rd card against Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker respectively.
