“The Terminator will be beaten” – Heavyweight contender believes he could KO Tyson Fury

Raphael Akpejiori has revealed his belief that he could KO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Fury reaffirmed himself as the number one heavyweight on the planet with his emphatic KO win over Deontay Wilder last month. He really does appear to be a class above his counterparts.

That said, an up and coming heavyweight contender by the name of Raphael Akpejiori has predicted that he would knock the Gypsy King out, were he to be given the opportunity to fight him.

The undefeated ‘Nigerian Hurricane’ has won all 12 of his professional boxing bouts so far by way of knockout. He believes that he could add the heavyweight champion of the world to that growing list.

Akpejiori is quoted by Sky Sports revealing his belief that he could succeed where Deontay Wilder failed in finishing off Fury, “If I ever knocked Tyson Fury down, I will keep boxing like it’s the start of the round.”

“It would be very stupid for me to go in there and start gassing myself with power punches, knowing the man in front of me is a Terminator.”

“I’ll work for another knockdown and hopefully I’ll get three or four knockdowns in a row. I have to stop him on his back or even on his feet, then I can raise my hand in victory.”

“The Terminator will be beaten, that’s what I’m saying.”

It’s big talk from a man who has fought absolutely nobody of note as of yet. There’s no doubt that Akpejiori is a prospect with huge punch power, but we’re talking about a whole different level of boxing here.

Fury is the crème de la crème of the heavyweight division. Fighters who are yet to box anyone with a Wikipedia page ought to keep his name out of their mouths…
