Everton fans chanted “fat Spanish waiter” in the direction of their OWN manager Rafa Benitez at Selhurst Park this afternoon.
Benitez was not a particularly popular appointment over the summer following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid. He knew full well that only positive performances and good results would win them over.
Unfortunately for Rafa, he has been unable to Everton firing. Granted, he wasn’t given any sort of cash to spend over the summer, but the squad is majorly underperforming and the buck stops with him.

The mood has soured even further at Goodison Park in recent weeks, with Everton fans’ anger towards their manager peaking as they visited Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace.
Everton proved that their victory over Arsenal was merely a one-off by being defeated 3-1 by the Eagles, with the Toffees’ travelling party making their feelings known to Benitez in the shape of the classic “fat Spanish waiter” chant…
