FURIOUS Everton supporter jumps onto pitch and darts towards Rafa Benitez

An Everton supporter attempted to breach Rafa Benitez’s dugout during the Toffees’ clash with Norwich City this afternoon.

Benitez was not a popular appointment at Carrow Road, with the Spaniard best known for managing arch-rivals Liverpool.

The Everton supporters have never warmed to him, and in the midst of their recent rotten run, the mood has seriously soured against Benitez.

Everton found themselves 2-0 down early on against relegation-battling Norwich this afternoon. You can only imagine how angry the travelling supporters were.

That anger threatened to bubble over onto the pitch, with one supporter jumping from the Everton away section onto the pitch and darting towards Benitez.

Benitez’s position as Everton manager is becoming increasingly untenable.

The club would have preferred not to be forced into a managerial change midway through the season, but it really looks as though they options have run out.

The phrase ‘too good to be relegated’ is often thrown around in the Premier League, but Everton are in deep, deep trouble.
