England are set to face Senegal in the World Cup Round of 16 this evening, with the match kicking off at 19:00 on ITV.
However, the big subject surrounding this fixture is England’s poor World Cup record when their games are broadcast on the channel compared to their success when on the BBC.
A stat from The Athletic showed that England have only won 19% of their World Cup matches when on ITV in the past 25 years, compared to a win percentage of 71% when on the BBC.
