The Ireland women’s team created history last night by being the First Ladies team to every qualify for the World Cup finals, important not to forge that! After the game they sang ‘Oh aw up the RA’ and since then it has exploded on the internet and especially an interview on Sky Sports where Rob Wotton told Chole Mustaki to ‘take a history lesson.

Well now the head of the Northern Ireland Supporters group is attempting to throw petrol on the fire with a tweet that says; ‘Thankfully we have much better role models in Northern Ireland Women’s football than they do elsewhere…’

    1. Oh ah Up the RA is part of a song Celtic Symphony. I understand you Brits are terrible at History but this is just a song and not half as vile and awful as the songs that ye sing at your matches

  1. If we want to talk about role models let’s start with why there’s no Northern Ireland assembly, where is your role models?

  2. They should be thrown out of the competition, I could only imagine if Northern Ireland sang a UVF song. We’d be excluded from everything. Thon idiot comparing a few drunks in a pub wearing NI tops to the actual women’s team, sober too is just using the usual deflection tactics republicans use to excuse their open support for a murderous terrorist organisation.

    1. It has fa to do with northern Ireland what so ever, ant excuse to get involved in this.so mind your own business.

  3. Wow isn’t terrible that a song about republican history upset u so MUCH. By the way Celtic symphony is Num 1 in the charts NOW. And I hope the Irish fans sing it at every world cup match.

  4. You rely need your head looked at dont ya. There isn’t any part of any Society where singing g up the ra is acceptable. If you think there is then you need a missive re-education and you should meet many from NI on all sides that were affected by the tribulations of the IRA. Most moderate people would want to wish the Irish ladies all the best but hardly any would after that
