THREE Chelsea players have tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of their clash with Everton this evening, according to Goal.

The Premier League has been rocked in recent days by COVID-19 outbreaks at multiple clubs. As a result, we’ve already seen fixtures postponed, with there being an expectation that there’ll be more to follow over the festive period.

The latest fixture to be thrown into doubt is Chelsea vs Everton, which is due to be held at Stamford Bridge this evening. As Goal report, Chelsea have now returned three positive cases in the latest round of COVID-19 testing.

The report states that all three players are known to have had contact with the rest of the squad, so it remains to be seen if the club will consider it wise to go ahead with tonight’s game knowing that the risk of transmission is high.
