Carlisle United hatch GENIUS plan to swerve recent government national health measure

Carlisle United have come up with a genius plan to swerve a recent government ruling and avoid their supporters having to use so-called COVID passports to attend games.

The government have recently voted in a new COVID-tackling rule that will force those attending gatherings at large venues holding in excess of 10,000 people to show COVID passports prior to entry.

It’s caused controversy, with some parts of society arguing that the government are attempting to coerce the public into taking the COVID-19 vaccine.

Of course, there is the option to provide a negative COVID-19 test result instead, which they conveniently choose to ignore.

Regardless, Carlisle United have taken action to ensure that fans attending their fixtures will NOT have to show any sort of COVID passport, having reduced their stadium capacity to 9,999.

Brunton Park can house up to 18k fans, so it seems a shame to knock off almost half the capacity to avoid what would merely be a mild inconvenience to fans, but we get the impression this is a way for the club to take aim at the government, more than anything else.

Boris Johnson is fast losing his authority to implement necessary national health measures, having lost the faith of large portions of the public.

Carlisle’s decision to ignore these recent measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 is testament to that fact.
