🚨Great news for Galway GAA as star player receives injury boost

Good news for Galway fans as Damien Comer’s injury isn’t as bad as first appeared.

The Galway forward went down injured against Roscommon last Sunday and had to be stretched off the pitch with supporters fearing for the 29-year-old.

It looked like Comer had torn his cruciate ligament, an injury which would keep him on the sidelines for the rest of the year but after a scan yesterday, it has been revealed that he avoided the catastrophic injury.

The Galway told the Independent.ie that he is “unlikely to need surgery” and will undergo rehab over the next few weeks.

There are now hopes that he will return to the pitch later this campaign although there are doubts over his involvement in the rest of the league.
