News coming out of Galway GAA this evening is of the passing of Patrick Kearney, a 37-year-old Galway GAA supporter from Cloonshecahill, New Inn, Ballinasloe, tragically lost his life on Tuesday, February 10, following an incident along the M18.

His death notice on RIP.ie reads: “It is with broken hearts and many tears that we announce the unexpected and tragic passing of Patrick on Tuesday February 10, 2026. Your life touched so many others, and will be remembered forever more, to leave the world a better place, than it had been before”.

Just awful for Patrick Kearney’s close family and friends at this time and we’d like to send our deepest condolences to them. May Patrick rest in peace Amen.
