Tuam Stars, holder of the most Galway Senior Football Championship titles with 25 in total, broke the sad news to their people:
“Rest in Peace, Annette Noone (née O’Rourke).
“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Annette Noone (née O’Rourke). Annette came from a proud Tuam Stars family — her father Jimmy not only served as President of our club but also captained our senior team with distinction.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Noone and O’Rourke families during this difficult time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.”
