Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that Wayne Rooney texts him after he’s had a few drinks asking him to set up boxing fights.
Rooney is currently working in America as the head coach of the MLS club, DC United which is currently third from the bottom.
But according to promoter Hearn, the former striker has texted him about making the switch to boxing and asked for his help in setting up fights.

‘When Wayne has a drink, he’ll message me and he’ll start going, “I’ll fight him and I’ll fight him,” and I get excited.” He said on That Peter Crouch Podcast.
‘Sometimes I get a message from Wayne saying, ‘Make me vs so and so, make that fight.’
‘I’ll look at it in the morning and go, ‘This is massive.’
