Wayne Rooney has revealed the one club he wished he had played for.

The former England striker had a glittering career starting out at Everton before making a big money move to Manchester United.

Rooney’s 208 Premier League goals make him the competition’s third-highest scorer of all time only behind Harry Kane and Alan Shearer.

Speaking to former United teammate Gary Neville, Rooney was asked a series of questions including the club he wished he had played for.

Surprisingly he went for Celtic leaving Neville stunned.

Rooney recently took over the manager’s jobs at Plymouth Argyle as he looks to build on his coaching career.

But it hasn’t been the best of starts at the club with them being thumped by Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 on the opening game of the season.

Last time out they drew with Hull City 1-1 and currently sit in 21st place in the EFL Championship.
