France overcame Ireland in a 15-13 win at the Aviva stadium this afternoon in a tight match with a lot of kicking and a lot of defence. Wasnโt half as good as Scotland v Wales yesterday, but still a pretty decent game to watch. The firs win in Dublin for this French side in ten year and you can see what it meant to them in the dressing room afterwards.

I was hoping to see some traditional French singing maybe a bit of classical, but instead โfree from desireโ France are looking good with this youthful squad and former Welsh forwards coach Shaun Edwards now coaching the French forwards the first time in a long time that the French have brought in a non French coach to the national set up and of course the once great scrum-half as the head coach in Fabien Galthiรฉ come the World Cup in 2023 France are going to be very formidable.
