The world of Virtual Reality is upon us and footballer’s in Norway have taken several little steps for mankind as they played the world’s first ‘bird’s eye view’ football match using VR glasses.
Each player has a set of VR glasses which are patched into the camera mounted above the pitch to give the players a bird’s eye view of the pitch, a bit like old football arcade games.
As you can imagine it doesn’t take the players long to get confused and none more so than the poor Goalkeeper who has an awful time due to him not knowing if the ball is on the ground or in the air.
