It’s difficult to find flat ground in the Austrian Alps, which makes it hard for local footballers to play the traditional sport which is why after finding the 2014 World Cup “very boring,” a few Austrian men found a way around it.
The group invented a new extreme sport called Alpine Soccer and it is rumoured to be football at its toughest, as it’s only played on the steepest Alpine slopes and it looks absolutely mental.
The rules follow the traditional football format only that the pitch can sometimes be at an angle as steep as 45 degrees which adds a whole lot madness to the game.
